Taking the first steps...

I really appreciate that making the first steps to start counselling, can feel a daunting thing to consider, let alone start. It is completely natural to hesitate; admitting things are difficult is hard enough, let alone talking about it with someone new.

I strive to offer a relaxed, confidential space where you can feel truly heard. Together, we will work alongside each other at your own pace. We will explore the challenges you are facing so that you can find a meaningful way forward.

My professional experience & qualifications

I am a fully qualified, BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy is the leading governing body for our profession in the UK.

At the heart of my work is person-centred counselling, an approach where your individual experiences guide everything we do. I am registered with and bound by the BACP Ethical Framework, providing you with a reliable, safe, and entirely confidential environment.

My background and experience

Helping you through the tough times

In my private practice, I have supported many clients through the deeply personal challenges of anxiety, loss, and relationship difficulties, offering a gentle space to process complex emotions. Alongside this, I am a trauma-informed practitioner dedicated to supporting people through some of life’s most overwhelming situations.

This includes providing weekly clinical counselling at the Big C cancer charity to help individuals and families navigate the affects that illness can have on our daily lives, and working with YANA to offer confidential, down-to-earth support for our rural and farming communities facing intense isolation.

Corporate, Crisis & Trauma Support

As an experienced EAP Affiliate, I partner closely with businesses and organisations to protect workplace wellbeing, working extensively with individuals navigating workplace stress, anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, and professional loss.

Alongside this day to day support, I am an active Critical Incident Responder, stepping in to provide crisis intervention and trauma support to teams and individuals following sudden and distressing events.

This work builds on over 12 years of experience within a local authority Critical Incident Team, where I provided emotional support to communities and schools after a crisis.
